This is him: the seabass and THE subject of Labrax2011!
The Labrax 2011 Project is the latest project of Henri-Joe Dieryck and Tamara Solowiew.
For this project, they will travel throughout Europe, following the seabass from the south of Spain to the north of Norway and this starting in of the year 2011. During this travel they will gather as much information as possible on the “Dicentrarchus labrax” or seabass.
They will meet with fishermen from all the West-European coastal countries (Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and the United Kingdom – if possible thye will also go to Greece and the Black Sea) looking for this fish, the used fishing techniques, the fishing gear, … but also cooking recipes, special projects regarding to protect or stimulate the fish and his habitat, …
Of course they will be fishing, but also taking pictures and making movies, writing articles, making paintings, interviewing interesting and passionate people… and posting all of this on the website.
At the end of the year all the information will be put together into the Labrax 2011 book, published in Dutch, French and English.
Our excuses if not all pages have been translated in English yet, we are working hard to fix this. If you’d like a specific page, please do lett us know which page and we’ll translate it as soon as possible…
During the project we will gather a whole lot of information, which will be assembled in 1 book. We are constantly looking for people who want to support the project or be sponsors – can you help the project or do you wish to support us, please do contact us. Every assistance will be mentioned on the website and in the book.
